Panagia Poulati

It is very impressive when you watch it from above, standing white with its big blue dome. Many people take cool dips in the fully-green waters beneath the church. Panagia Poulati was built in 1870 and it operated in 1875. Its architecture is interesting, as it has tall bell-towers and a large dome. It is surrounded by a paved courtyard and there are cells around. You will go through a dirt road (it is located below Artemonas, in Dialiskari) or by walking on a trail from Kastro.

Monastery of Fyrogia.

It is considered of the 16th century and it was restored in the 1970s by the Hellenic Society for the Protection of the Environment and Cultural Heritage. In the summer, the Small Museum of Modern Pottery operates at the site of the monastery under the auspices of the Municipal Enterprise of Sifnos and the Potters' Association of Sifnos.

Panagia Chrysopigi is the patron saint of the island and a famous pilgrimage all over Greece. It has exquisite architecture. It was built in 1650 on the torn rock which, according to tradition, was miraculously split in half in order for the women, who used to light up the vigil lights, to be saved from the pirates. It is said that the icon of the Virgin Mary, dedicated to Zoodochos Pigi, was found by fishermen while it was sailing in the sea.
