Acropolis of Profitis Ilias of Troullaki

An uphill trail starts from the road of Herronisos (35 minutes) towards the hilltop of Profitis Ilias (463m) where traces of an acropolis of the 6th century BC are still preserved.

Acropolis of Agios Nikitas

It is one of the four ancient acropoles of the island, accessible through a trail starting from the road that leads to Herronisos (45 minutes). You will see parts of the ancient acropolis walls and remains of a tower of the 6th century BC on the hilltop of Agios Nikitas, next to the church.

Acropolis of Agios Andreas

The asphalt road will bring you right at the entrance of the archaeological site which extends in 10.000km2 and to which important works of restoration and promotion have been made. If you choose to ascend through thetrail, you should know that it is probably steep and with stairs (20 minutes). The view from the top will reward you and at the top you will see the ruins of the ancient fortifies acropolis of Agios Andreas (or Ai Drias). The church of Agios Andreas rises at the centre of the eastern side.
