Near Chora, south-facing, sheltered by two narrow ​​land stripes, this beach has been awarded a Light Blue Flag (indication of crystal clear waters) since 2003. It is worth enjoying the sunset in the region.

It is the most famous and the busiest beach of Ios. With clear green-light blue waters and sand, it is approximately one kilometer long. Around the beach there are rooms to let and hotels, cafes, bars, beach bars, shops, restaurants. You will do all kinds of water-sports from skiing to scuba diving. A passable dirt road that begins at the end of the beach connects Mylopotas to the area of Palaiokastro offering superb panoramic views of the island’s beaches.

Beautiful bay in the south of Ios, with a sequence of smaller bays which have golden sand and crystal clear waters. There are rooms to let, a beach bar that leads to the beach, umbrellas and sunbeds, taverns. You can do water sports and it is worth diving to see its wonderful seabed. It is one of the most popular beaches on the island.

Very close to the bay of Chora, small, sandy, with a view across the port of Ios.

Beautiful small beach, with a little palm tree and a small church. It is more easily accessible by boat.

Long sandy beach with wonderful waters and smaller bays. When there are winds and big waves the main beach is ideal for surfing. There is a tavern.

At the entrance of Chora’s bay, accessible by car or on foot from the path starting from the church of Agia Irini, in the port.

Agia Theodoti

A small bay with a golden sandy beach and clear blue waters, 10 km from Chora, on the eastern side of the island. Going downhill you will see the church of Agia Theodoti on your left.

To the east of Ios, a sandy beach with crystal clear waters where a creek flows until the spring. Close by there are the secluded beaches of Plakes and Pappas.

Pebble beach with one tree for shade, open to ‘meltemia’ (strong and dry north winds) and accessible in two ways: the road coming from Pano Kambos and the beach of Plakoto.

The northernmost beach of Ios. Small, with a big well, it serves mainly as a slide for small boats. The "tomb of Homer" is located close by and an interesting abandoned settlement as well.
