Agios Theologos

This is an ideal spot for beginners in wind surfing as the winds that blow here are always suitable for the occasion and create the necessary waves. It is the most remote and secluded beach from the known ones on the west coast of the island. It includes a series of coves.  

Agios Stefanos

It is an organized sandy beach with very shallow waters 38km west of the capital of the island. You can see the ruins of a church of the early Christian times at one end of the beach near some rocks.

Agios Fokas

The beach is located 8km southeast of the town of Kos right in front of a tourist resort of the same name. It has dark-colored sand and shingles on one side and white sand on the other side. It is an organized beach with water sports amenities.


This beach has dark-colored sand and is surrounded by massive rocks. It attracts people even in winter due to the hot springs that flow into its seabed. The temperature of their water right before it flows into the sea can reach 47o C.  


A big, sandy beach east of Kefalos that stretches over 5km. It is famous for its cool waters and idyllic natural landscape. The solid rock on the islet off the coast looks like a castle that was not made by the hand of a man. The beach is organized with food and accommodation facilities.    


This beach has white sand and stretches over a great area along the settlement of Kardamena. It is organized and has water sports centers. There are also many tavernas nearby.

Lampi (Nea Alikarnassos)

The beach is located northwest of the town of Kos. It has white sand and measures 1km in length. It is exposed to north winds but has shallow waters. There are many hotels, tavernas and beach bars around it. It is organized and has water sports centers.   


There are umbrellas and sunbeds on the beach that has white sand and is located at the northwestern end of the island. You can access the beach taking the road that leads to Kefalos or turning right (west) 3,5km before you reach the settlement.  


A big beach with white sand 4km north of the picturesque settlement of Pyli. There are umbrellas, sunbeds, tavernas, beach bars and water sports centers and if you walk a bit more inland you’ll discover rows of salt cedars.  


The beach is very close to the settlement of Antimachia. It has white sand and crystal clear waters. Parts of the beach are organized while other parts have no infrastructure. Famous tavernas operate less than 50 meters away from the waterfront and there is a waterpark nearby. Boats sail from its small port connecting Mastihari with Kalymnos.  


An endless beach that stretches over 6km. It attracts many tourists, especially families, because it is easily accessible and has shallow waters that are being heated by underwater volcanic conduits. The palm trees make the beach look exotic and there are tavernas, food carts and beach bars all around it. The beach also has water sports centers. 


A vast beach with white sand and shallow crystal clear waters. It is one of the most popular beaches of the island constituting an essential part of the Tigaki tourist resort. The hotels, restaurants, beach bars and water sports centers that are all around offer a cosmopolitan flair to the beach. A valley with lush vegetation that reaches the beach is another characteristic of Tigaki.    


A beach with sand and shingles and some sand dunes a bit further back. It is located at the beginning of the road to Agios Fokas and Thermes and it is favored by surfers due to the southeastern winds blowing over it and its close proximity to the town of Kos. It is largely organized with sunbeds and umbrellas. There are many hotels, tavernas and beach bars around.
