Milos has wonderful trails and many of them follow the dirt roads.

Cape Vani-Agia Marina

(12km, 5 hours). The route starts from the old mines on cape Vani. You will walk on the dirt road of Xerokambos towards Ambourdektaki and you will continue on the hunters’ path which will lead you to Emporio. From there (through the main dirt road) you will reach the lagoon in Rivari, Fatourena and in the end you will ascent to Agia Marina.

Fylakopi-Papafragas-Pachena-Agios Konstantinos-Mytakas- Sarakiniko–Mandrakia

(9km, duration: 3 hours). Splendid walk by which you will see Sarakiniko, Papafragas, the archaeological site of Fylakopi (which is your starting point) and Mandrakia where you will stop.
(about 5km, duration: 2 hours). The route starts from Zefyria and heads to the airport. Then it passes by the area of Stoli and between two hills, which are sections of the volcano. Soon you meet a peculiar landscape which looks like a meadow and after you search for a while you will find the fumaroles. The beach of Agia Kyriaki is located closeby.

Katsogria-Ai Giorgis-Agia Marina-Rivari-Emporio

A trail to Western Milos which is included in the network Natura 2000. It passes by the lagoon Rivari and reaches the small port of Emporio.

Close to Pollonia there is Fylakopi, one of the greatest towns of the pre-historic Aegean, and it is worth taking a nice walk to see it.
Reaching the village of Trypiti you go uphill to see the windmills and the amazing view over the sea. Then you descent towards the Catacombs and after you visit them, climbing up the stairs, you will see a path on your left. You take it leading you to the ancient Roman theatre. From there you walk on the path on the right and after you go above the thatre you turn left in the alley. Shortly you will reach the location Tris Ekklisies (Three Churches)
